DevOps Trainer

About the role

You know that moment when Kubernetes clicks for someone and they stop being terrified of it? We want you to create more of those moments. You’ll deliver hands-on DevOps training to client teams, making complex topics accessible. CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containers, the lot. No death-by-PowerPoint. No reading from a script. Just real teaching, from someone who’s done the work.

What you’ll do

• Deliver instructor-led training sessions (remote and occasionally on-site)
• Develop and maintain course materials for DevOps topics
• Create hands-on labs and exercises using real-world scenarios
• Tailor training content to client environments and skill levels
• Assess learner progress and provide actionable feedback
• Stay current with tooling and practices to keep courses relevant
• Collaborate with the team to build out our training catalogue

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience
• Proven training or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with at least two of: Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, AWS
• Excellent communication skills: you can explain complex topics clearly

Nice to have

• Professional training certifications (CTT+, or vendor-specific)
• Experience developing course curricula from scratch
• AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform certifications
• Experience with Pulumi or other modern IaC tools
• Background in technical writing or documentation

What we won’t ask you to do

• Read from slides for eight hours straight
• Deliver training on tools you’ve never used in production
• Pretend there’s only one right way to do things
