Sales Remote (UK) Contract

About the role

We’re brilliant at delivering technology projects. We’re less brilliant at telling people about it. That’s where you come in. You’ll find businesses that need our help, build relationships, write proposals that win, and close deals. No massive sales team behind you. Just a great technical delivery team ready to back you up.

What you’ll do

  • Identify and approach potential clients through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Write compelling proposals, bids, and tender responses
  • Present our services and capabilities to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals
  • Attend industry events and represent Gremlin Group
  • Work with delivery teams to scope projects accurately

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
  • Experience selling IT services, consulting, or technical solutions
  • Strong proposal and bid writing skills: you can turn a conversation into a winning document
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Understanding of cloud, DevOps, or software development (you don’t need to be technical, but you need to speak the language)

Nice to have

  • Experience with public sector procurement and tender processes
  • Existing network in UK technology or IT decision-making circles
  • Experience selling to charities or non-profit organisations
  • Familiarity with frameworks like G-Cloud or Digital Outcomes
  • Marketing skills (content, LinkedIn, events)

What we won’t ask you to do

  • Cold call from a script like it’s 2003
  • Oversell something we can’t deliver
  • Hit arbitrary activity metrics that don’t correlate with results
